Rollie Ness, of Montevideo, died on Monday August 1, 1994 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 67. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday August 8, 1994 at 2:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Douglas Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Roald Francis Ness was born on November 9, 1926 in Roberts Co., South Dakota to Rev. Carl O.B. and Karen Ness. He attended and graduated from schools in Summit,SD and graduated from Augustana College in 1951. He later received his Master's Degree at South Dakota State University in 1967. He taught at various schools in South Dakota until he went to Welcome, Mn. as Principal in the school system, staying there until retiring in 1984. He spent his retirement years at his home in Montevideo and at a cabin on Lake Mary near Alexandria, Mn.
He is survived by two brothers - Juell of Florida and Paul of Aberdeen, SD; 4 sisters - Hope Symmes of Milwaukee, Wi.;Ruth Naverude and Maude Ness of San Jose, Ca.; and Joan Beckstrom of Cleveland, Ohio; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by 3 brothers.
