Ronald Angrimson, of Milan, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Chippewa County -  Montevideo Hospital at the age of 71.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Watson, MN with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.   Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.

Ronald DeWayne Angrimson was born on August 18, 1932 in Tunsberg Township, of Chippewa County, MN to Dedrick and Doris (Ovre) Angrimson.  He was baptized on Oct. 23, 1932 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed on April 14, 1946 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  He attended District # 28 country school for four years, Watson for a year and then attended Montevideo schools.  At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and was assigned to the Mediterranean. He served in Korea and Japan during the Korean Conflict followed by shore duty in Germany. In July of 1953 he was discharged and that summer worked for Mooney’s out of Granite Falls.    In February of 1954 he was united in marriage to Shirley Nubbe and they made their home in Bloomington.  He  worked construction for Kraus Anderson out of Minneapolis for a while and  hauled concrete blocks for 16 ½ years for Glacier Sand and Gravel before they went out of business.  He went to work for Model Stone Co. as a salesman and later as sales manager before retiring in October of 1992.  After 42 years of marriage he and Shirley were divorced in 1996.  Ron had purchased farm near Milan in 1990, so he made that his residence.  He went to the Philippines in 1997 and married Editha Gandino.  They returned to the farm at Milan where he enjoyed the good life in the country - gardening, rasing chickens, reading and spending time with his family.  Over the years he coached little league baseball when his sons were young and was a fast pitch pitcher for softball.  He also pitched for the  U.S. Navy while in Germany.  Ron enjoyed  hunting geese, pheasants, and deer.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway, the American Legion and VFW.

Ron is survived by his wife, Editha; eight children: Craig Angrimson and his wife Gail of Apple Valley, MN, James Angrimson and his wife Deb of Montgomery, MN, John Angrimson and his fiancé Jenie Mancuso of New Prague, MN, Mark Angrimson of Bloomington, MN, Jeffery Angrimson and his wife Karla of New Prague, MN, Gina Angrimson of Bloomington, MN, Maria and Richard Angrimson, both of Milan, MN; five grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Kemen of Dawson, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne Angrimson; and a sister, Virginia Johnson.
