Ronald “Buddy” Franklin of Montevideo died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 52.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Pastor Barry Brace will officiate and interment will be in the Appleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour before the services.
Ronald Ray Franklin was born August 11, 1963 in Mobile, AL. He attended school and grew to adulthood there. He was educated in plumbing, air conditioning and heating, and was a certified machinist. He moved to Montevideo in 1993. Buddy worked for Peters Construction on and off for over 10 years and was a part of many of their large commercial projects in Montevideo. He was united in marriage with Amanda Nelson April 20, 2015 in Watertown, SD. He enjoyed watching movies, was an awesome cook and loved to grill. He was a loving father and especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda; his children: Holley (Pat Lundberg) Franklin of Montevideo, Eva (Samson Miller) Franklin of Montevideo, and Coy (Loure Rodriguze) Franklin of Montevideo; a step-daughter, Tasha Kardell of Montevideo; grandchildren: Jamison, Zoey, Aiden, and one on the way; and a brother, Donald Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Franklin.
