Ronald Gose, of Montevideo, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Clara City Care Center at the age of 72.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Watson with Vicar Linda Estling officiating.
Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the services on Thursday.
Ronald Ernest Gose was born December 22, 1942 in Clarkfield, MN the son of Ernest and Mabel (Weber) Gose. He was baptized in 1943 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Balaton, MN and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN. He was a student at District 81. Being a farm kid, he worked first for his dad and then many local farmers after his graduation from Montevideo High School in 1961.
Ron was united in marriage with Shirley Smith June 12, 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They made their home on the Dalen farm. Over the years Ron worked at the Royal Inn and later at WalMart until he retired in 2010. He enjoyed refinishing furniture. Ron collected John Deere toy farm implements and fed many deer and cared for his cats.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a sister, Deanna Olson of Hot Springs, SD; two brothers: Donald Gose of Henricks, MN and Richard (Patty) Gose of Sturgeon Lake, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Marion Radtke.
