Rose Wick, of Fairmont and formerly of Montevideo, died on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, MN at the age of 83. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Bruce Koskovich and Rev. Donald S McKee officiating. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with family present from 5 - 7 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Rose Isabell (Smith)Wick was born on August 20, 1927 in Key West, Florida to Hansel and Minnie (Sheppard) Smith. She was baptized on June 11, 1933 and grew up in Florida.. She was united in marriage with Edward Wick on June 2, 1945 in Miami, FL. They moved to Montevideo in 1946, where they farmed. She was employed for about fifteen years as a school bus driver. Following her husband's death in 1993, she moved into Montevideo, living there until moving to Fairmont about six years ago. She was currently a resident of the Lakeview Health Care Center in Fairmont. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and a women's circle, was a 4-H leader and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting Barbie Doll clothes, baby afgans, pot holders and many other things. She enjoyed many crafts and pet dogs. She is survived by her children: Edward M., Jr. and his wife Debra of Delano, MN, Sandra Winge of Chippewa Falls, WI, Lyle and his wife Colleen of Hugo, MN, David and his wife Nancy of Virginia Beach, VA, Debra Kroon and her husband David of Fairmont, MN and Kevin and his wife Jan of Japan; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ed in 1993 two brothers: Hansel and Ransom Smith; and a sister-in-law, Helen Smith.
