Rosella (Benson) Christians

Rosella Christians, formerly of Montevideo, died on April 4, 2004 at Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar at the age of 85.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Dan DeBlock officiating.  Interment will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will  be Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and for one hour prior to services at the church.

Rosella (Benson) Christians was born on August 19, 1918 in Chippewa Co., MN to Fred O. and Ella (Beckman) Benson.  She  was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, MN and attended rural schools.  She was united in marriage to Enno Christians December 2, 1944. She lived most of her life in Montevideo, many years being at Parkview Towers.  She spent 10 years in the Clara City Nursing Home and has been a resident at Bethesda Pleasant View for the past 2 years.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
She is survived by a son - Leslie Christians and his wife Shirlee of Redwood Falls, MN; daughters:  Delores Sandberg and her husband Jim of Montevideo, MN; Beverly Hoppe and her husband Myron of Raymond, MN; and Darlene Johnson and her husband Arnie of Pomeroy, IA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
