Ruby Grass

Ruby Grass, of Montevideo, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 81.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Montevideo.   Pastor John Runyan will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service.  Arrangements are with Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home.

Ruby (Vaughn) Grass was born April 18, 1938 at Walling, TN the daughter of Homer and Lois (Wright) Vaughn.  She grew up in Michigan and Tennessee.  Ruby moved from California to Minnesota in 1974.  She was a drug and alcohol counselor in Oklahoma in the 1980's.  She moved to Montevideo in 1986.  Ruby was united in marriage with Everett Grass in November of 2003 in Las Vegas.  They made their home in Montevideo.

She is survived by her husband, Everett; her children: Buck Collum of Montevideo, Sherry (Bobby) McMillan of Rice, MN, Darrin Collum of Montevideo, and Kandie (Todd) Gunderson of Danube; eleven grandchildren; three brothers: Charles Vaughn of Montevideo, James (Lorene) Vaughn of California, and Darrell (Julie) Vaughn of Oregon; and a sister, Willine (Bill) Martin of California.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Terie Nickel; and a son, Jimmy Dale.
