Ruby Swenson, 80, died March 1, 1993 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City, MN.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Warren Broughton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services.
Ruby Ann Augeson was born May 20, 1912 at Spencer, IA the daughter of Fred and Alice (Sunderland) Augeson. She moved with her family to Montevideo as a young girl where she attended school and grew to adulthood. Ruby was united in marriage with Maurice Swenson November 5, 1941 at Beloit, WI. They moved to Montevideo after Maurice's discharge from the Army in 1945. She moved to the Clara City Nursing Home in September of 1992.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice; four sisters: Opal Birhanzl, Cleo Myhre and her husband Donald, and Violet Haff all of Montevideo, MN and Virginia Boraas and her husband Amer of Dawson, MN; four brothers: Walter Augeson and his wife Ida of Montevideo, MN, Warren Augeson and his wife Geraldine and Harold Augeson and his wife Florence both of Hectar, MN and Roger Augeson and his wife Florence of Watson, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters: Fern Lehmann, Pearl Swenson, and Velma Augeson; one brother, Wayne Augeson; and five brother-in-laws: James Lehmann, Ed Birhanzl, Arthur Swenson, Stanley Haff, and Gordon Hermanson.
