Ruth Hoffman, 95, of St. Paul, formerly of Montevideo, died December 22, 1992 at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 1992 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. John Bjorge will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the church.
Ruth E. Milbeck was born February 6, 1897 at Wegdahl, MN the daughter of the late John and Theolina (Thorkelson) Milbeck. She attended school and grew to adulthood in the Wegdahl area. Ruth was united in marriage with Nicholas Hoffman in October of 1919 at Strombeck Lutheran Church at Wegdahl. They lived in the Granite Falls and Montevideo area. Nicholas died April 13, 1965. After his death, she moved to live with her daughter, Donna in Mendota Heights, MN.
She is survived by two daughters: Lucille Johnson of Granite Falls, MN and Donna Anderson of Mendota Heights, MN; one daughter-in-law Dorothy Hoffman; three grandchildren: Ruth Ann Hellickson, Daniel Hoffman, and Donnette Anderson; six great-grandchildren: Bradly, Jonathon, Megan, Janean, Jody, and Scott; five great-great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Travis, Jenessa, Jessica, and Stephanie; one brother Edwin Milbeck and his wife Adeline of Dawson, MN; three sisters: Mable Saaler living in Canada, Myrtle Borg of Wegdahl, MN, and Florence Agre and her husband Art of Montevideo, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Nicholas; one son Nicholas, Jr.; one grandson Kenneth Johnson, Jr.; five brothers: Fredolph in infancy, Albin, Arvid, Floyd, and Carl; and two sisters: Christine Christiansen and Martha Christiansen.
