Ruthanne (Evans) Bennett

Ruthanne (Evans) Bennett passed peacefully January 10, 2022 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN at the age of 96.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Ruthanne was a proud Hamline University graduate, devoted wife, caring mother and fun-loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruthanne enjoyed singing in the church choir, exercising, camping and spending time with her family and many friends. She was born May 21, 1925 and was raised in Montevideo, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Bennett, Sr., her parents and two siblings.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Valerie) Bennett, Jr., Susan (Thomas) Sefkow, John (Barbara) Bennett, Barry (Mary Ellen) Bennett, nine grandchildren, their spouses and ten great-grand-children. She is also survived by her brother, Cliff Elver, and her sister-in-law, Vivian Evans. A service and celebration of her life will be held later this spring in Montevideo, MN.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamline University or the Animal Humane Society in Ruthanne's memory are preferred.
