Samuel Craig, of Montevideo, died on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 2. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Wang Lutheran Church of rural Maynard with Rev. Mary Hovland officiating. Interment will be in the Jevnaker Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 7 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Samuel Gene Craig was born on July 20, 2007 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN to Eric Craig-Nobbe and Sheila Christenson. He was diagnosed with Menks Disease, which is an incurable disease. He had a difficult life, overcoming many obstacles and hardships. He was a fighter and was an inspiration to many. He always had a smile for anyone and his love for all will be cherished by everyone he knew. He is survived by his parents: Eric Craig-Nobbe (and Rochelle Mahlum) of Dawson, MN and Sheila (Christenson) and Dave Bauer of Montevideo; grandparents: Cheryl Christenson and Lori (and Jay) Johnson of Montevideo; great grandmother, Marie Craig of Cottage Grove, MN; as well as by numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Dennis Christenson and Robert Nobbe; great grandparents: John and Deloris Fredrickson and Larry Craig; and by an infant uncle, Dennis Christenson, Jr.
