November 26, 1964 — May 18, 2016

Scott Jaspersen, of Montevideo, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 51.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 4-6 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Scott Colin Jaspersen was born on November 26, 1964 in Tyler, Minnesota to James and Dolores (Kock) Jaspersen.  He was baptized at Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler.  Scott and his family moved to Montevideo in 1966.  He attended school in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1986.

Scott enjoyed watching wrestling, golf and the weather on TV.  Family will remember him for his love of all kinds of music, but most of all 50's Rock n Roll and the Statler Brothers. In early years Scott participated and enjoyed competition with the Special Olympics program in Montevideo.  He also would love to go bowling and shoot baskets whenever he had a chance.  One of Scott’s hobbies was to  collect  Snoopy and Peanuts memorabilia and later he collected  Moose memorabilia.  He was a very proud uncle to Nolan, Isaac and Kady and most recently proud great uncle to Taya.

Scott is survived by his mother, Dolores of Montevideo: brothers: Craig (Lisa) of Pipestone, MN and Mark (Kerry) of Montevideo; nephews; Nolan (Jenna) and Isaac Jaspersen; niece; Kady Jaspersen,  and great niece, Taya Jaspersen.

Preceding him in death was his father, James in 2009 and his grandparents.
