Semisi Paongo

Semisi Paongo died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at his home in Montevideo at the age of 43.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Pastor Sam Kautz officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5-7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Semisi Vaihua Paongo was born September 26, 1980 in the Kingdom of Tonga the son of Enele and Fie'alu (Melesilnoi) Paongo.  He was united in marriage with Topie Herman April 25, 2004 in Saipan.  Semisi was a fisherman.  They moved to the United States in 2017 where he worked at Jenni O.  Semisi was a fire dancer he also was active at the United Methodist Church where he sang and spoke.

He is survived by his wife, Topie; five children: Semisi JR. Paongo, Mele Paongo, Lata Paongo, Sulieti Paongo, and Itei Herman all of Montevideo;  a sister, Iata Paongo of Brisbane, Australia; two brothers: Sioeli Paongo and Vilisuli Paongo of Brisbaine, Australia; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
