Shari Connelly, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 46. A Celebration Of her Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Fine Arts Center in Montevideo, followed by a reception at the TAC in Montevideo.
Shari Dawn (Anderson) Connelly was born on January 20, 1968 in Ortonville, MN to Orrin "Shorty" and Alice (Jensen) Anderson. She grew up in Milbank, SD and graduated from Milbank High School in 1986. On April 7, 1990 she was united in marriage to Michael Connelly in Milbank. They lived in Marietta and Madison, MN for short times before moving to Montevideo in 1999. She worked for over fifteen years as a custodian for both Sanford and Ramsey Elementary Schools in Montevideo. For the past ten years Shari and Mike have enjoyed camping at the Edgewater Bay Campground on Lake Shetek. She enjoyed her time at the lake, flower and plant gardening, landscaping, motorcycling, shopping, and saving and trying to get the best deal. She especially loved her family, especially her granddaughter, children and husband.
Shari is survived by her husband, Michael; a son, Chris of Montevideo; a daughter, Jenny (and Joe) Harker of Montevideo; a granddaughter, Shiann Harker; her father, Orrin "Shorty" Anderson of Milbank, SD; a sister, Michelle (and Steve) Lund of Granite Falls, MN as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Anderson and two sisters: Lorri Gutzman and Jodi Anderson.
