Alma Morlock, formerly of the Milan area, died on Friday, February 1, 2002 at Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar, MN at the age of 79.
A Memorial service was held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 at 1:30 PM at the Bethesda Pleasant View Chapel in Willmar with Rev. Bruce Harshberger officiating. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the Evengelical Free Church in Willmar with Rev. Todd Olson officiating. Burial was in the Kviteseid Lutheran Cemetery in Milan, MN.
Alma Mae (Wahl) Morlock was born on December 12, 1922 in Holloway, MN to Karl and Martha (Nickles) Wahl She grew up in the Holloway, MN area. On March 5, 1949 she was united in marriage to Elmer Morlock at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Benson, MN. They farmed in the Big Bend/ Hagen, MN area until she moved to Willmar in 1980. She became a resident of Bethesda - Pleasant View in 1991. She is a member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing, canning and playing bingo.
She is survived by a daughter - Ruth Ann Strege and her husband Clyde of Willmar, MN; a granddaughter - RoxAnne Barber and her husband Jon of Willmar, MN; great grandchildren - Mason and Drew Barber; sisters - Norma Haugerud of Montevideo, MN and Delia Tatge of Morris, MN; a brother - Earl Wahl of Benson, MN; a brother-in-law - Merrill Morlock and his wife Dianne of Montevideo as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer in 1980 and by a brother, Neil Wahl.
