Shirley Gorham, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 67. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Community Bible Church in Montevideo with Pastor Bruce Jarman officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 4:00 P.M. and with a prayer service at 3:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Shirley Ann (Dolan) Gorham was born on October 31, 1943 in Mitchell, SD. As an infant she was adopted by Earl and Marjorie Dolan, growing up in Huron, SD. She graduated from Huron High School in 1961 and Huron College in 1965. On September 30, 1967, she was united in marriage to Walter Gorham in Huron. They lived in Browns Valley, MN, Havana, ND and Willmar, MN before moving to Montevideo in 1973. She was spiritually born again in October of 1972 and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in February of 1973. She was a faithful Christian worshiper at the Community Bible Church and was an avid student of the Bible. She was a very active in the MCCL and enjoyed planting and raising flowers. She is survived by her husband Walt; four children: David Gorham of Montevideo, Christopher (and Susan) Gorham of Plymouth, MN, Peter (and Stephanie) Gorham of Gurnee, IL, and Sara (and Timothy) Edgar of Merino, CO; six grandchildren: Sierra, Nicole, Lilyana, Nathaniel, Madeline and Spencer; a brother, Larry Dolan of Vinton, IA; as well as by an aunt, uncle and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
