Shirley Anne Hennretta (Frederickson) Wold

April 1, 1916 — April 17, 2000

Shirley Anne Henretta (Frederickson) Wold was born April 1, 1916 at Boyd, MN the daughter of Olaf and Ida (Arndt) Frederickson.  She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in August of 1929 by Pastor H.W. Hoehring at Redeemer Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Boyd High School as Salutatorian of her class.  Shirley was united in marriage with Arnold R. Wold November 9, 1945 at the Tyro parsonage by Rev. Rosin.  They had one son, Dale Wold.  They lived in Dawson where Shirley worked as a house keeper at the Dawson Hospital for nearly 20 years.  She moved to the Cities to live near her son in 1993 and to the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson in 1998.  She was a lover of birds and animals and enjoyed them very much. Shirley was a member of the Church of Lutheran Confession in Morris, but attended regularly at Living Waters at Dawson.
She is survived by one son, Dale Wold and his wife Alice of Plymouth, MN; three grandchildren: Donald (Karla) Wold, Donna Wold, and Dennis Wold; three great-granddaughters: Nicole, Whitney, and Samantha Lloyd; one brother, Jackie Frederickson of Cody, WY; and one sister-in-law, Lois Wold.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Arnold on June 30, 1993; and two brothers: James Frederickson and one in infancy.
