Steven Bloch of Montevideo died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN at the age of 51. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the services at the church. Steven James Bloch was born April 6, 1961 at Spring Lake Park, MN the son of James and Donna (Knudsen) Bloch. He moved to Montevideo with his family in the late 1960's. Steve graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1979. He worked as a machinist at Chandler, Victor Fluid Power and most recently at Matt's Motor Works. He was united in marriage with Judy Weckwerth June 29, 1985 in Montevideo. He loved riding his trials bike. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. He is survived by his wife, Judy; two children: Jeff Bloch of Montevideo, MN and Nikki (Shea) Bohlin of Montevideo, MN; two grandsons: Jaxon and Rauly; his mother, Donna Syverson of Ellsworth, WI; his step-mother, Charlene Bloch of Montevideo, MN; two sisters: Lori (Tim) McNicoles of Greenville, WI and Cheryl (Greg) Tovsen of Prior Lake, MN; one brother, Scott (Julie) Bloch of Svea, MN; his mother-in-law, Marie Weckwerth of Montevideo, MN; three brothers-in-law: Neal (Kathy) Weckwerth of Cottonwood, MN, Mark (Carmen) Weckwerth of Montevideo, MN, and Milt (Kathie) Weckwerth of Park Rapids, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, James Bloch; his step-father, Bob Syverson; and his father-in-law, Arnold Weckwerth.
