Steven Mamer

Steven Mamer died November 10, 2019 at the age of 48.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. James Catholic Cemetery near Dawson, MN

Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson, MN.

Steve was born in Montevideo, MN baptized and confirmed at St James Catholic Church and raised in Dawson, MN where he attended and graduated from Dawson-Boyd High School on June 4th, 1989.  After high school he attended NDSU and NDSCS colleges earning his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering.  His 24 year engineering and construction management career was entirely spent at Interstate Engineering from April of 1992, where he was the Project Manage and Office Manager until his retirement in April 2016.

Steve was a proud member of the Army National Guard, enlisting in December 18, 1987 and serving until February 2, 1993 when he was Honorably Discharged.  Steve was blessed with two children, his daughter Brittney and his son Michael.  He loved his children with all his heart and they meant the world to him.

Steve was a kind and giving man who enjoyed his hobbies as well as serving his community.  He was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, a Volunteer Firefighter on the Beulah Fire Department and he enjoyed many recreational activities in his spare time including 4-wheeling, working on race cars, hunting and camping.  In recent years Steve spent much of his time at Beulah Bay on Lake Sakakawea where he loved to frisbee golf and sit around the campfire with all his dear friends and family and looked forward to those activities every summer!

Steve and his wife, Robyn, met out at Beulah Bay, where they talked for hours about their love of camping, along with lots of laughter.  He was known for his witty sense of humor and a huge smile.  Steve and Robyn were united in marriage August 18, 2018.

Steve is survived by his parents: LeRoy and Diana (Schuldt); his wife Robyn (Baker); his daughter Brittney and son Michael; his two brothers: Michael and Wendy (Mikuls) and David; step-children and grandchildren:  Whitney (Trent), Chaundra (Grace), Austin (Mikayla) and Liandra, Jake and Carson; uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends, who he considered his family.
