Steven Wilking of Willmar, Mn., formerly of Montevideo, died on Friday March 18 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 42. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday March 21, 1994 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Roger Rekstad officiating. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Steven John Wilking was born on August 22, 1951 in Montevideo to Clarence and Joanne Wilking. He attended Montevideo Public schools and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1970. He attended an auto body course at Golden Valley Tech. He worked as a truck driver for a number of years and was most recently employed at West Central Industries. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children - Stephanie and Larry Wilking of Granite Falls,Mn.; by his father - Clarence Wilking of Spicer, Mn.; by his mother - Joanne Wilking of Montevideo;and by brothers - David (Anita) and Gregg Wilking of Montevideo.
