Stewart Stamp, of Granite Falls, died on Saturday, September 28, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 1:30 PM at Bergen Lutheran Church with Rev. Julie Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Marietta Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening, with the family from 6 - 8 PM and with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Stewart Stanley Stamp was born on April 5, 1953 in Dawson, MN to Robert and Marilyn (Sisson) Stamp. We was baptized on August 23, 1953 and confirmed on May 19, 1968 at Garfield Lutheran Church. He graduated from Madison High School in 1971, served in the US Air Force and attended Dunwoody Institute. He lived in Los Angeles, CA until moving to the Montevideo area in 1988. He was currently living in Granite Falls. He was a member of VFW Post #380 of Montevideo and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, old movies, NASCAR and football games.
He is survived by a daughter, Stevie Stamp of Mankato, MN; a brother, Scott Stamp and his wife Beth of Lake Mills, WI; sisters, Margo Roth and her husband Tim of Madison, MN and Michelle Sazama and her husband Paul of Brusett, MT; a special friend and companion, Diana Sharp of Granite Falls; and aunts and uncles , Stanley & Margaret Stamp of Marietta, MN; Joan and Gary Carlson of Minnetonka, MN and Stuart Sisson of Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marilyn Stamp, and by grandparents, Mike & Verna Stamp and Wilfred & Clemence Sisson.
