Susan Burmeister, of Minneapolis, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN at the age of 68. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Interment will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Our beloved Sue passed away on April 6, 2014 to join the other angels in Heaven. Susan Happy Burmeister was born in Montevideo, MN on Dec. 5, 1945 to Albert and Elizabeth "Betty" (Wisner) Burmeister She resided in Minneapolis, MN most of her adult life.
As one of the longest participants, she attended the Metro Work Center for 45 years. Her wonderful personality and disposition were shared with her many friends.
Sue was a joy to be near with her antics - loved people and having them near....Enjoyed traveling - (especially airplanes). Most of all she enjoyed her music (of all eras) which she played and danced to each day after coming home from Metro.
We are forever grateful to all the staff who loved and cared for her over the years. You were her second family. Loving memories for Sue's devoted companion of 25 years, Scottie.
Left behind to miss her are her devoted mother, Betty, loving brother Steve, Wendy and Ben and her wonderful friends.
Preceding Sue and welcoming her in Heaven are her Dad, Al, Grandparents Leroy and Genevieve Wisner, Aunt/Uncles: Marge Cushman Strommer, Roger Cushman and Orrin Strommer.
