Thomas Worden, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 63.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Pastor Bruce Schoeman officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will held Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Thomas Worden was born on January 12, 1952 in Marshall, MN to William and Lois (Addison) Worden. He moved to Madison, MN and grew up attending the public school system in Madison. He then went to California to college where he met his wife Catalina on a mission trip for the University. Within two years they were married on March 29, 1977 and they returned to Minnesota. Thomas began his career as dispatcher/jailer for Chippewa County in 1977. He retired from that position in 2000. Following retirement Thomas completed his lifelong education dream and double majored in Business and Computer Science. Thomas enjoyed gardening, drawing, computers, watching movies and traveling. His interest included politics, apologetics, and popular science. Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Catalina; his children: John (Julie), Peter (Danielle), Paul, and Rebekah; four grandchildren; brothers: Lyndon (Heather) and Ronnie (Pat); a sister, Frannie (Mark); half brothers: Gary (Sandy) and Douglas (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lois.
