Trent DeMaris, of Montevideo, died on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 17. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Charles Leonard officiating. Interment will be in the Osceola Cemetery #2 in Marvin, SD. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 - 7 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Trent Robert DeMaris was born on February 3, 1991 in Milbank, SD. He was baptized at South Shore, SD and attended school in Wilmot, SD. In 1997 he moved with his family to Montevideo, MN, where he attended Montevideo Public Schools. He was confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church on October 6, 2006 and received his GED a year earlier than expected. He enjoyed working on go carts and bikes, fishing, drawing, skateboarding, playing tennis and canoeing. He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Mary Peterson; siblings: A.J. (and wife Jessica) DeMaris of Ortley, SD, Amanda DeMaris of Summit, SD, Tom Peterson of Montevideo, MN, KrisAnn Peterson of Cheyenne, WY, Tanner DeMaris of Montevideo, MN, Kassi Peterson of Willmar, MN and Katie Peterson of Montevideo, MN; grandparents: Bruce and Joyce Peterson of Montevideo, MN and Robert Manderfeld of Marvin, SD; great-grandmother, Mildred Midtovne of Milbank, SD; as well as by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Barb Manderfeld; great-grandparents: Carl Midtovne, Vivian Tibbals and Virgil and Elsie Mastin; and by an uncle, Jerry Manderfeld.
