Troy Alan Ellefson

December 7, 1962 — February 12, 1999

Troy Alan Ellefson was born in Montevideo, MN on December 7, 1962.  He was baptized on December 23, 1962, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo and confirmed on October 29, 1978, at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  He attended Dawson-Boyd Schools and graduated on May 31, 1981.  He attended Brown Insitute for 2 years, specializing in electronics.
He was employed by and traveled for Medtronics as an electronic technician, who performed preventive maintenance on heart and lung machines. Presently, he was a roofing laborer with Meyer Construction of Coon Rapids.
His love of playing the drums started in high school with the Ty's and continued professionally with several bands, including Overload, Attica, Hail Mary, Hitchhicker, and Baby Boomers.
Troy died suddenly on Friday, February 12, 1999, in Coon Rapids at the age of 36.
Troy is survived by his children, Anthony Reuben and Brittany Marie Ellefson; parents, Merlin and Jane Ellefson of Dawson; grandmother, Ethel Ellefson of the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson; sisters: Tamara and Dave Schulenberg of Waconia, Teresa and Ross Lynne of Clarkfield, and Tonia and Charley Carpenter of Raleigh, NC; nephews: Justin Carpenter, Andrew Schulenberg, and Matthew Lynne; and his niece and godchild, Megan Lynne; godparents: Ron Janke of Montevideo and Diane Rasmussen of Apple Valley; uncles and aunts, numerous cousins, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Reuben and Agnes Janke and Arnold Ellefson.
