Verine Angrimson Castino was born on November 21, 1917 in Chippewa County, MN to Anton and Mary (Johnson) Angrimson.  She lived in Chippewa County until 1933 when she moved to Spokane, WA to live with her aunt and uncle, Anna and Albin Larson.  She attended Montevideo Public Schools in Montevideo and  Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, and also worked part time at her uncle’s restaurant in Spokane.  She later attended Kinman Business University and worked for Merchant’s Rating Co. and Lundgren Brothers Printing.  On December 25, 1938 she was united in marriage to Harry L. Castino and went to work for the American Legion Post in Spokane.  In 1947 Harry formed a commercial truck trailer manufacturing business, Aero-Liner Corporation, where she worked as the bookkeeper and stenographer.  Her first priority in her life was her family, raising four children with unselfish devotion and loving care. She enjoyed the role of mother and housewife, fulfilling the everyday needs of the family, often at a personal sacrifice.  She enjoyed golfing in her earlier years and later was active in Christian Women’s Club, Aglow and church activities at Glad Tydings Church.  She made frequent visits to the Montevideo area, many times with her four children to visit her parents and many siblings.

She is survived by four children: Kathleen Patterson of Scottsdale, AZ, James Castino of Fox Island, WA, Patricia Enkema of Spokane, WA and John Castino of Vancouver, WA; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Harry in 2000; as well as by eight brothers and sisters.
