Verna Lou Arnold, formerly of Ortonville, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 86.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2003 at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church in Montevideo. Rev. Jean Boese will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and with the family present from 5-7:00 P.M.
Verna Lou Arnold was born December 15, 1916 at Ortonville, MN the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Lammel) Hausauer. She graduated from Ortonville High School. Verna Lou was united in marriage with Floyd Arnold August 7, 1938 at Ortonville. They moved to Montevideo in 1944. She worked at Arneson Drug during the 1950's and then as the medical receptionist at the Montevideo Clinic until retiring in the mid 1980's. She was an active member of First Congregational Church in Montevideo.
She is survived by one son, James Arnold and his wife Karen of Plymouth, MN; three grandchildren: Steven Bauer, Jill (Antoine) Toffa and Jami Bauer; four great-grandchildren: Sinclair, Chandler, Cyprien, and Sydney Toffa; one brother, Dale (Betty) Hausauer of Ortonville, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Floyd on September 9, 1957; five brothers: Marvin, Gordon, Floyd, Kenneth, and Robert Hausauer; and one sister, Dorothy Strand.
