Victor E. Weckwerth was born on May 30, 1927 in Montevideo to George and Clara (Flitter) Weckwerth.  He was baptized on June 19, 1927 and confirmed on April 6, 1941 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  He attended District 7 Country School.  Victor served in the United States Army from  1945 to 1947.   When he returned to Montevideo he married Fern Falla on May 28, 1949 and they made their home in Sparta Township, Chippewa County.   They raised two children, Carol and Dianna.
