Victoria Brovold, of Montevideo, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 93.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at Community Bible Church in Montevideo with Pastor Bruce Jarman officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5 - 7 P.M. and with a prayer service at 6:45 P.M. at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Victoria Dorothy (Hoyles) Brovold was born October 14, 1920 at Marietta, MN the daughter of Alfred and Bertha (McCaskey) Hoyles. She was baptized in July of 1934. She graduated from high school in Pillager and also attended North Central Bible School. She was united in marriage with Olaf Brovold May 2, 1959 at Church of God in Montevideo. She worked as a farmers wife and homemaker. Olaf died March 1, 1989. She belonged to the home makers club and enjoyed gardening. She was active at church teaching Sunday School, working in the kitchen, and missions.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Mistie) Brovold of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren: Melanie (Michael) Davis, Dale Zachary Brovold, Samuel Brovold, Kayla Brovold and Shawn Brovold; two step-children: Lorraine Becker of St. Louis Park, MN and Diane (Minton) Larson of Alexandria, MN; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Gillson of Pillager, MN; and a brother, Robert Hoyles of Ogilvie, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Olaf; a sister: Lois Carlson; and a step-son, David Brovold.
