Viola Enevoldsen, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN at the age of 85.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Leo Deitemeyer officiating. Burial was in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Viola Lorinda (Perske) Enevoldsen was born on August 5, 1915 in Camp Release Township of Lac Qui Parle County, MN to Fred and Minnie (Zempel) Perske. She was baptized on September 12, 1915 and confirmed on April 13, 1930, both at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. She attended rural schools and Montevideo High School. On December 31, 1939 she was united in marriage to Palmer Enevoldsen at the St. Paul Lutheran Parsonage in Montevideo. She was a lifelong resident of Camp Release Township until moving into Montevideo about six weeks ago. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a prayer chain member and had been active in the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband Palmer; three children: Paul Enevoldsen and his wife KeEtta of Montevideo, Dennis Enevoldsen and his wife Diane of Montevideo, and Leota Rich and her husband Kenneth of Inver Grove Heights, MN; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and one sister, Florence Hamre of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Albert Perske; and by one sister, Eleanor Anderson.
