Viola Evelyn (Graue) Tweeter

Viola Tweeter, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at the Clara City Care Center at the age of 83.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 16, 2000 at 1:30 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Leo Deitemeyer officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Viola Evelyn (Graue) Tweeter was born on July 7, 1916 in Lac Qui Parle County, MN to Herman and Martha (Draeger) Graue.  She was baptized on August 27, 1916 and confirmed on April 13, 1930 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo and attended rural schools.  She worked for a time at the Singer Sewing Shop in Montevideo and was a cook at Rosy’s Supper Club and Trailways Café before retiring in 1978.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Roger Tweeter and his wife Jo of Montevideo, MN; two grandsons: Thomas Tweeter and his wife Brandi of Montevideo and Timothy Tweeter and his wife Wendy of Japan; two great-grandsons: Dexter Tweeter and Jack Tweeter; two brothers: Robert Graue of Minneapolis, MN and Curtis Graue of Sioux Falls, SD; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Richard and Gary Tweeter; one granddaughter, Rita Tweeter; two brothers: Harold and Donald Graue; and two sisters: LaVerna Stark and Gladys Stolen.
