Wallace Henry Lutz, aged 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Montevideo, Minnesota February 13th, 2025.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Pastor Sam Kautz will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Wally, one of four boys born to Gust and Lazetta Lutz, was born on December 15, 1930, in Valley City, ND. He graduated from Noltimier High School in 1949. He joined the National Guard and later served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1952.
He returned to North Dakota to farm with his family before going to work for Farmers Union Central Exchange in St. Paul Minnesota as a service representative. He retired as General Manager of Montevideo’s Cenex Co-op in 1995. After “retiring”, he was interim manager at thirteen other Cenex locations.
He met and married Sharon Eide in 1959. They both enjoyed their crafting and attended area craft shows. Wally was a skilled woodworker, creating replicas of antique tractors as he remembered them from his childhood.
He volunteered his time at Montevideo’s United Methodist Church, making repairs and mowing the lawn.
He is survived by beloved wife Sharon and his three daughters Debra Johnson, Sandra Lutz-Ramsey and Nancy Youngbauer (Jeff). They have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Leroy, Gordon and Jim Lutz and his nephew Mark Lutz.
