Walter Armstrong, of Montevideo, died on Friday, January 8, 1999 at his home in Montevideo at the age of 75.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 12, 1999 at 1:30 PM at Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Carlton Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon end evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Walter Murton Armstrong was born on August 31, 1923 at his family home in Chippewa Co., Mn to George and Emma (Narum)Armstrong. He was baptized at home, confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church in Leenthrop Township and attended schools at Disrtict #74 in Leenthrop Township. He farmed for many years in Mandt Township before retiring and moving into Montevideo in the spring of 1994. He enjoyed woodworking and especially making birdhouses.
He is survived by one sister, Hazel Christians of Montevideo; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Myron, Lowell and Harlan Armstrong.
