Warner Ostenson, 71, of Montevideo, died Tuesday, January 2, 1996 at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield, MN.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Alvin G. Lewis, Jr. will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. The family will be present from 7-8:00 P.M. and there will be a prayer service at 7:30 P.M.
Warner LeRoy Ostenson was born May 5, 1924 near Benson, MN the son of Arthur C. and Agnes (Olson) Ostenson. He attended school in Milan. On October 22, 1944, he was united in marriage with Betty Leenerts at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Warner was a musician and a car salesman in Montevideo and Minneapolis throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons: Lanny Ostenson and his wife Carmen of Montevideo and Larry Ostenson and his wife Joan of Crystal, MN; two daughters: Diane Guidi and her husband Bob of Brainerd, MN and Renee Sherman and her husband Les of Granite Falls, MN; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Agnes of Montevideo; and two sisters: Ardis Feldhake of Montevideo and Jean Anderson of St. Paul, MN.
Preceding him in death were his father; an infant sister, Evonne; and two brothers: Lewelden and Dennis.
