Wayne Brumbaugh Kief

Wayne B. Kief, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, September 2, 2001 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 83.

Private family services will be held at a later date with interment in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Wayne Brumbaugh Kief was born on September 2, 1918 in Montevideo, MN to Alphonso and Edna (Brumbaugh) Kief.  He was confirmed at First Congregational Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School.  He served in the US Army during WWII.  He worked for many years as an inter-city bus driver before retiring.  He was a  member of First Congregational Church in Montevideo.

He is survived by nieces and nephews - John Givan of Montevideo; Wayne Patterson of Green Bay, WI; Pamela Hassan of Holley, NY; Bruce Patterson of Virginia Beach, VA; and Anne Patterson of Bowie, MD; and by cousins - Paul Kief of Bemidji, MN and Phyllis Youngren of Montevideo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by 3 sisters - Marion Kief, Pauline Givan and Marjorie Patterson.
