Wayne Ost, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at the Rice Care Center in Willmar at the age of 62.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 1:30 PM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Donald McKee officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Wayne A. Ost was born on June 7, 1941 in Montevideo, MN to Alvin C. and Irene (Wik) Ost. He grew up in rural Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School. He attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Wayne worked for many years in Minneapolis and Willmar at the Employment Services for the State of Minnesota before retiring in the summer of 2002. He was a life-long member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, the Minnesota Valley Antique Farm and Power Association in Montevideo and the West Central Power Association in Willmar. He liked to restore antique tractors, loved his cats and enjoyed fishing at Lobster Lake and up at Lake Of The Woods.
Wayne is survived by two aunts, an uncle, and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin in 1996; his mother, Irene in March of 2003; as well as by several aunts and uncles.
