Will Irwin Skreberg

Will Skreberg, of rural Milan, MN, died on Monday, December 13, 2004 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 85.

Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 2:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.  Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Will Irwin Skreberg was born on November 15, 1919 in Big Bend Township of Chippewa County, MN to Hans and Hannah (Hagenstad) Skreberg.  He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Milan and attended Milan Schools.  He farmed for many years in Big Bend Township before his retirement.  He was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran church, serving as church and cemetery treasurer and was a trustee.  He was also a member of the Chippewa Co Historical Society and the Milan Rod & Gun Club.  He enjoyed long leisurely walks, gardening, reading newspapers, bird watching, building bird houses and wood duck houses and playing pool and cards until too many of his playing friends preceded him.

He is survived by cousins: Ernest Stoen of Montevideo and Frances Schneider of Minneapolis, MN; several distant cousins; as well as by a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Harold, Arthur, Carl and Henry Skreberg; and by a sister, Alice Viola Skreberg.
