Willard "Skip" Freeman

Willard "Skip" Freeman, formerly of Montevideo, died April 3, 2024 in Apache Junction, AZ at the age of 81.

Memorial services will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Willard Lyle Freeman was born December 11, 1942 in Montevideo, MN the son of Willard and Mary (Smith) Freeman.  He attended school in Montevideo.  Skip served in the US Navy from 1961-1969.  He was married to Avis. They had three children: Nick, Nathan, and Neal.  Skip worked as an over the road truck driver for many years.  They moved to Oregon in the mid 1980's before returning to Montevideo.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing at Volden's pit with the grandkids.  He was united in marriage to Donna in 2001.  He was currently living in Apache Junction, AZ.

He is survived by his children:  Nick and Anne Freeman, Nathan and Stephanie Freeman, and Neal and Jackie Freeman; step-children: Josh Lanphear and Jessica Webster;  20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sandy (Doug) Hodge and Patty (Marty) West; and a brother, Larry (Susan) Freeman.

Preceding him in death were his parents;  his wives: Avis in 1998 and Donna in 2022; step-son, Jonathan Lanphear; a brother, Mike; and a sister, Carol Greseth.
