William Brophy, of Montevideo, died Friday March 25, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 59.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 10:00am at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens in Montevideo.
William Charles Brophy was born in Montevideo to Lawrence and Alberta (Alstad) Brophy on August 1, 1956. He was baptized on September 16, 1956 and later confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. He attended school in Montevideo and had worked in the past at Trailways in Montevideo.
William enjoyed watching TV and movies, collecting coins, and collecting cans for recycling. He was a big Star Trek fan and also enjoyed visiting the Chippewa County Public Library to “argue” politics with Dave.
William is survived by his sister: Kathy (Gene) Brandsted of Montevideo and Glennda (Alvin) Smith of Appleton, Wisc.; nieces and nephews: Jeremy, Mitchell, and Jason Brandsted, Kjersti Lindblom, and Geoff, Tracy, Travis and Adam Edwards.
William was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister, Eileen Brophy.
