William "Bill" Brunner, 47, of 5486 Brookwood Lane, town of Sigel, died Wednesday morning, June 26, 2002, in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Dale Knuteson will officiate.
Mr. Brunner was born on June 28, 1954, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Donald and Mary Ann (Lust) Brunner. He married Cynthia Knuteson on Sept. 26, 1987, in Seneca Corners.
He was a handyman and self-employed carpenter, a Packer fan, a lover of animals, nature and science, and a true friend.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia, of the town of Sigel; his parents, Donald and Mary Brunner, of Nekoosa; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Brunner, of Nekoosa; two brothers, David (Dawn), of Junction City, and Craig (Beth), of Nekoosa; two sisters, Kathryn (Warren) Wesley, of Ham Lake, Minn., and Judith (Mike) Dahl, of Montevideo, Minn.; his mother-in-law, Velma Knuteson, of Vesper; two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Dale (Rebecca) Knuteson, of Martinsville, Ind., and Roger (Madeline) Knuteson, of Stillwater, Minn.; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather (Ronald Brunner), his maternal grandparents (William and Marie Lust), his uncle (Larry Brunner) and his father-in-law (Howard Knuteson).
