William Mamer

William Mamer, Dawson died on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 70.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. James Catholic Cemetery near Dawson, MN.

William Joseph Mamer was born June 9, 1951 at Canby, MN the son of Leo and Mary (Hassing) Mamer.  He was baptized in St. Leo. He moved with his family to Dawson in 1953. He was confirmed at St. James Catholic Church in Dawson and served as an altar boy. He graduated from Dawson High School in 1969.  Bill served in the MN Army National Guard.  He worked at Dawson Mills driving truck until 1985 and then became an over the road truck driver until he retired in 2010.  Bill enjoyed buying cars for his personal use.  He moved to Home Front First in Montevideo in 2016.

He is survived by a sister-in-law Diana Mamer of Canby and nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers: James and LeRoy; a sister-in-law, Karen Mamer; and a nephew, Steve.
