Amanda Wibben of Montevideo died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN at the age of 85. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Christopher Lieske will officiate and interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Titonka, IA Amanda Amelia (Lassahn) Wibben was born October 29, 1922 at Hayfield, IA the daughter of Arthur and Rosa (Waldo) Lassahn. She was baptized December 31, 1922 in Hayfield, IA and confirmed June 16, 1940 at Britt, IA. Amanda was united in marriage with Reinhart Fritz who died during WW II. She was united in marriage with Joe Wibben June 11, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Amanda was a cook and dishwasher at Trailways Cafe for many years. She also provided child care. Amanda enjoyed puzzles and crossword puzzles. She also was very good at sewing and crocheting. She is survived by two children: Kenneth (and Janet) Wibben of Montevideo, MN and Beverly (and Steve) Hanson of Raymond, MN; four grandchildren: Joe (and Michelle) Wibben, Katie Wibben, Devin (and Jessica) Hanson and Logan Hanson; two great-grandchildren: Nathan Wibben and Chase Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her two husbands: Reinhart Fritz and Joe Wibben; one son, Ernest Joe Wibben in infancy; six brothers: Arthur Lassahn, Herman Lassahn, Harold Lassahn, Charles Lassahn, August Lassahn, and Fred Lassahn; and two sisters: Amelia Einhause and Francis Brower.
